Derry Opposes Controversial Green Path North Electrical Project


Councilman Neil Derry today announced his opposition to the controversial “Green Path North” electrical transmission project.

“I strongly oppose the ill-advised Green Path North project. I have listened to the concerns of local residents and those concerns are not being addressed in any meaningful way by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP),” declared Derry.

“Unfortunately, this situation is far too typical of the manner in which business is conducted under San Bernardino County’s current politicians,” continued Derry. “Resolutions of opposition are no replacement for the real leadership that’s required to bring a solution to the table and force the re-location of this project elsewhere.”

“The people of the Morongo Valley deserve a Supervisor who will roll up his sleeves and fight for his constituents, not just pass meaningless resolutions around election time,” concluded Derry.

Derry is an employee of Southern California Edison which is not constructing Green Path North.
